Vision Sound & Light Install Advanced Audiovisual Solutions at Dundee’s new Visitor Experience Centre – the Tasting Rooms

Vision Sound and Light (VSL) today announced that they had completed an audiovisual installation at a new visitor experience centre in Dundee.

The Tasting Rooms (TTR) in Dundee’s South Ward Road has been opened by Graeme Scott and David Walker of Scott’s Wine World, to provide a wine and food tasting and educational experience for consumers and business alike.

The building which was a near derelict shell when work began, has been cabled in cat5 to allow visual communications to a series of plasma and LCD screens located in the lower and upper floors including the delicatessen and the ‘Corporate Room’. The main communications driver is a content delivery system by OneLan Digital Signage Systems which allows varied content to be delivered including video, scrolling text, logo’s, atomic clock and flash animation. A local demand for a quality centrally located meeting room motivated TTR to have a full presentation suite available to allow local companies to meet away from phones and interruptions but still have video, PC and audio presentation equipment available and in this case, a giant 50” Panasonic plasma screen controlled by state of the art technology to make like easy.

The main public rooms also have full audio capability and where chef demonstrations are planned for the future, a video and audio link will allow the show to be narrow-casted onto the display screens while the chef explains his art.

The solution which we specified is scaleable and gives the opportunity to be totally flexible about what is shown where. The OneLan System gives them the flexibility to adjust content and display output in a way which suits the time of day and the clients in the premises. The screens are Panasonic standard and high definition quality which gives superb clarity and impact and the control system in the corporate room allows easy usage of the technology without any training.
