Vision Sound and Light secures £¼ Million of contracts to
celebrate 1st birthday

Vision Sound and Light (VSL), a Dundee based audiovisual company, today announced that they have some special reasons to celebrate their first birthday as they have got off to a spectacular start to 2005, with over £250,000 of contracts secured for the first quarter.

Kicking off the good news, a tender was won to supply Angus Council with some of the latest hi tech teaching aids, enhancing the way lessons are presented in the district’s schools. The contract will see the first deliveries of LCD projectors made this month to schools across Angus by VSL, with a second wave due in a few weeks time.

Angus Council went out to tender towards the end of 2004 and based on best value, which the Council applies to all contracts, VSL were awarded the £60,000 contract.

Gary Langlands MD of VSL comments,

“VSL has now been in existence for over a year and we are delighted that we have got off to such a good start. We are particularly pleased that we were chosen by Angus Council to fulfil this contract. It is really important for us to offer local buyers a credible audiovisual supply route, not only offering value but also   good customer care and service back up. Our engineers are available to assist with technical and breakdown issues and VSL already have a contract for maintenance and repair of education projectors with Dundee City Council. We hope to grow our business with Angus Council going forward and this contract allows us an opportunity to show what we can do.”

Alan Fyffe, Education ICT Manager at Angus Council added,

“We are pleased that a local Tayside firm were able to meet the best value criteria set out by the council and we look forward to working with VSL to deliver this contract efficiently.”

Joining Angus Council, Scottish Enterprise Tayside, Edinburgh University , Stevenson College in Edinburgh and Aberdeen University have all awarded substantial contracts to VSL to supply Audio Visual solutions for classrooms, lecture theatres, meeting rooms and training facilities – mostly to be completed by the end of March.
